Ancestry UK - 80th Anniversary

With the 80th anniversary of the start of the Blitz being marked on 7th September 2020, Ancestry UK partnered with artists across the UK to create 80 pieces of art; each inspired by a historical record and/or image from World War II.

In Liverpool, Wardens Louis Herkenwrath and Edward Flaherty went from incident to incident rescuing trapped persons during a heavy air raid in May, 1941.
